Last night saw the last in the East Lothian Summer Series, held at the John Muir Country park in Dunbar. The race itself was about 5.5k, along sandy trails through woods. Fine evening for a run. Maybe too breezy for the BBQ after. As ever there was a good compliment of runners from Musselburgh, Dunbar, Haddington and Jog Scotland. The MDAC contingent was made up of Jan, Ian and myself. For the first time this summer I managed to catch Ian and was only overtaken once (but that was by wonder kid, Andrew Crichton of Dunbar). Ian was awarded a fine third place in the overall series. Big thank you to Stuart Hay for all his time and hard work in organising the events. Honourable mention must also to the organisers of the BBQ, Neil Teather and Anne Hay from Dunbar, especially for the cup cakes decorated in the colours of the three clubs.
